Woolies: hat & shades
Woolies was born as Ryan Mitchell at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and after spending his first couple of weeks, and first christmas, in hospital he moved back to the family home in the Bridge Of Don. Having later studied Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at Edinburgh University he opted instead for a career in “doing the things he loves”. After a temporary — fourteen years — move to Glasgow he is now back in his home town of Aberdeen and very much happier about how nice the outside world is.
His first camera came in it’s very own fashion destroying denim carry pouch which he proudly wore on his belt during all family outings & holidays. The piniacle of minituriasation technology it used 110 film canisters and a plastic lens to give “artistically” blured and exposed images, the camera was much, much larger than a modern mobile phone.
Introduced to computers via a Spectrum 48K with it’s friendly rubber keys and even friendlier BASIC language which enabled him to stay up way past his bedtime on many occasions to write & programme his own games. One night he even made it do something useful, rumour suggests a spreadsheet detailing the games he’d programmed.
These days he tries to juggle the thrill of taking great new photos with the satisfaction of web development ideas and the challenges of remembering to earn money from it all once in a while.
You can find him on more social networking and community websites than he has time or inclination to use but feel free to add him wherever you find him.
