Of Diminished Use

The minute and second hands are fine but the hour hand is broken – I’m trying to work that into a metaphor of the days and weeks passing but nothing larger changing. This feels like the longest Winter I can remember.

Winter Waves

Most photos from this afternoon had unwanted soft-focus spots from all the spray hitting the lens, luckily I got this shot before the sleet shower started in full earnest.

Chanonry Blackbird

Looking at me in the hopes of some food rather than actually posing I think — it’s been a long Winter here already!

Platform 4

I’ve always liked trains. Even modern electric trains, even at 6am on a bitterly cold December morning in Scotland – they still have a touch of romance and adventure for me.

Thousand Word Essays

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, if so then these are my thousand word essays.

There is no timetable for updates to this photo blog. I’ll add a photo when I think I have pictures worth sharing or when I feel I can tell an interesting anecdote or thought. This means sometimes weeks can pass with nothing new, for that I apologise to those eager for more.

For those happy souls content with less I’ll make sure to not flood your inbox or feed reader and limit updates to one per day — even if I have a whole heap of new photos that I’m excited about!
